Obituary of Thomas C. Waite

Thomas Waite, 82, of Syracuse, NY, passed away on June 10, 2018 in Buffalo, NY at Hospice Buffalo Inpatient Facility with family by his side. Thomas was a life-long resident of Syracuse. He graduated from Christian Brothers Academy in 1954 and Syracuse University in 1964. Thomas worked at Crouse Hinds for over 30 years. He was a man of great faith who was a life-long member of St. Patrick’s Church. He loved his family, Airedale dogs, talking politics and finance, fishing, hiking and Syracuse football. Thomas’s life motto was “be the best you can, don’t cut corners, be good and work hard.”

Thomas was predeceased by his devoted parents, Clinton and Mary Waite.

Survivors: his loving sister, Barbara Hornung of Buffalo; five nieces: Mary, Beth, Heather, Pamela and Jennifer; several great nieces and nephews and one great-great niece.

Services: In June 2018, A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated and burial followed in Woodlawn Cemetery.
