Obituary of Dorothy J. Burke

Dorothy J. Kegley Burke, 91 formerly of Onondaga Hill passed away Wednesday at Iroquois Nursing Home. Born in Scranton, PA, she and her husband moved to Syracuse a few years after marriage in 1946. She was predeceased by her husband, William J. Burke in 1991. She was the first resident of the new AHEPA Apartments that opened in September 1991. She was an active member of the AHEPA Community Organization, and enjoyed cooking for family and friends. Survivors: daughter, Judith (Ricardo) Gonzalez of Dedham, MA, granddaughters Nicole (Joseph) Florio, Nina (Louis) Mancinelli and Vanessa Gonzalez all of Dedham, MA, great granddaughters, Lucia and Liana Florio, and Mancinelli great-grandchild due in July: all of Dedham, MA. She is also survived by a brother Charles (Maureen) Kegley of Boulder, Colorado; and her dear and loving friend of many years, Libbie Thornton of Fairmount. Services: 10:00 am Wednesday at St. Michael & St. Peter Church, 4782 W Seneca Tpke. Burial will be private in National Cemetery, Bourne, MA.
