Ronald P. "Moss" Mossotti, 83 of Syracuse, N.Y., passed away at Rome Memorial Hospital surrounded by his family. Born in Solvay, he resided in the Fairmount area in the home he built for his family, for over 50 years. He served in the U.S. Navy after World War II. He was a retired Sargent of the Onondaga County Sheriff's Department. In recent years Moss volunteered at Francis House, Frazer School and Holy Family Church. He was predeceased by his wife of 49 years, Mary Jane (Laramay) Mossotti. Survivors: four sons, Ronald (Jennifer) of Lexington, KY, Thomas (Elizabeth), David and Richard (Jennifer) of Syracuse, two daughters, Lori Lyons (David) and Diana Ebner (David Furth), 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Services: 10 a.m. Monday March 26, at Holy Family Church, 127 Chapel Dr., Syracuse where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated. Burial with military honors will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Francis House, 108 Michaels Ave., Syracuse, NY 13208 or a charity of your choice.
