Frank E. Willoughby November 20, 2011 Frank E. Willoughby, 93, of Safety Harbor formerly of Solvay, NY passed away Sunday in Florida. Born in Solvay he was a graduate of Solvay High School. Frank was a US Army Veteran of WWII and recipient of the Bronze Star. He retired from Allied Chemical after 30 years. He was a 40 year member of the Solvay Fire Department. He was a past Solvay Village Trustee and served as a New York State Fire Instructor. He was a former member of Solvay United Methodist Church. After retirement Frank was active in many civic organizations in the Safety Harbor community. He was predeceased by his wife Mayola Willoughby in 2007. Survivors: daughters, Judith (James) DeLucia of Solvay and Wendy (James) Coher of Lakeland; sons, Frank Jr. (Joanne) of Hollywood, FL and James (Bonnie) of Baldwinsville; brother, Ralph (Nancy) Willoughby of Rochester; 7 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Services: 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Tindall Funeral Home, 1921 W. Genesee St. Burial will be at a later date in Belle Isle Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Solvay Fire Department, 1925 Milton Ave., Solvay, NY 13209.
