Obituary of Jean H. Brazell

Jean H. Brazell November 21, 2011 Jean Francis Hill Brazell, 88, of Westvale, died Monday surrounded by her children. Jean was born July 18, 1923 in Syracuse. She worked at Dunbar Buick and Syracuse Developmental Center. In November 1949 she married John J. Brazell and was a devoted wife and mother, participating in her children's school and extracurricular activities. She was a dynamic individual who found great joy in life. She was active in Western Hill Duplicate Bridge Club, Strathmore Book Club, English Speaking Union, SU Alumnae Club, SU Sports, swimming at the Solvay Youth Center, Scouting, Folk Marches, Christmas Eve Dinner Club, numerous trips and cruises. Family and friends will find comfort in memories of shared good times and Jean's endless enthusiasm and optimistic outlook. Her husband, John Brazell and brother, Robert Hill predeceased her. Survivors: her children, Richard (Susan) Brazell, Judy (David) Hambruch, Mark (Jonna) Brazell; grandchildren, Ryan, Connor, Colin, Devyn, and Ian Braxell; great granddaughter, Savannah Brazell; and numerous nieces and nephews. Family wishes to thank the compassionate nursing staff of Crouse Irving 4 North and Iroquois Nursing Home. Services: 10 a.m. Saturday at Tindall Funeral Home. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt. Calling hours are 3 to 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, 1921 W.
