Myrtle Christine Hines, beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother passed away Sunday at Upstate University Hospital at Community General. Born in Columbia, SC on August 2, 1923 and retired from the Liverpool K Mart in 1988. Myrtle was predeceased by her loving husband of 58 years, William in July of 2000. She was loved dearly and will be greatly missed. Survivors: daughters, Alice M. (Edward) Darby of Camillus and Beverly A. (James) Darnell of Eagle River, Alaska; sons, William Jr. (Beverly J.) of Bedford, TX and Gregory J. of Liverpool. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; two brothers, Lester (Mary Ann) Meetze of Syracuse and Phillip Meetze of Memphis, TN; several nieces and nephews. Services: 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Holy Family Church, 127 Chapel Dr., Syracuse, NY 13219. Burial will follow in Onondaga County Veterans Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of CNY, 990 7th North St., Liverpool, NY 13088
