Obituary of Robert G. Hefti

Robert G. Hefti, 83, passed away Friday at Francis House in Syracuse. Born in Syracuse January 14, 1928, Mr. Hefti was the son of the late Frank G. Hefti and Marie Scharoun Hefti. Mr. Hefti graduated from Nottingham High School in Syracuse in 1945 and served in the U.S. Navy from 1946 through 1947. Mr. Hefti went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Business at LeMoyne College in 1952 and a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Syracuse University in 1956. Mr. Hefti was employed by Key Bank Corp., formerly First Trust & Deposit Company, in Syracuse. Robert retired as Vice President and head of the Investment Department in 1989, and was a communicant of Holy Family Church, Fairmount. Robert is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Anna L. Hefti; daughters, Diane (Robert) Gasparini and Dawn Jorgensen, both of Syracuse; and sons, Paul (Nancy Webb) and Peter (Melinda Montgomery) of Kannapolis N.C.; seven grandchildren, Rachel, Daniel, Anthony, Robert John, Adriana, Robert David and Hailey; and three great grandchildren, Alexis, Carmine and Bella. Services: 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Tindall Funeral Home and 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Church, Fairmount. Burial with military honors will follow in Assumption Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home 1921 W.
