Obituary of Carlton Louis Dudley

Carlton L. Dudley September 14, 2011 Carlton L. Dudley, 77, of Syracuse passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at Crouse Hospital with his loving wife and daughters by his side. After 34 years of service, he retired from NY Telephone in August of 1989. He was a US Navy Veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion, Elks, Telephone Pioneers, and CWA 1123. He enjoyed hunting, golfing, fishing, and traveling. He spent many enjoyable years in Florida in the winter and 40 summers in Roosevelt Trailer Park. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents Donald and Pansy Dudley. Survivors: his loving wife of 54 years, Lois (Burgess) Dudley; daughters, Mary (John) Maestri, Cindy (Paul) Cerullo; brother John Dudley; nieces, Rita (Vincent) Muscarella, Barbara Thompson, Mickie Gaurnier; nephews, John (Sue) Gaurnier and Robert Dudley; grandchildren, Christopher (Michelle) and Lisa Maestri, Sol, Sara and Greg Cerullo; great grandchildren Allison and Lauren Maestri; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Thank you for the excellent care given by Dr. Lawrence Kohn and the nursing staff on the 7th Floor Memorial of Crouse Hospital along with the Palliative Medicine Service. Services: 9:30 a.m. Monday at Tindall Funeral Home and 10:00 a.m. Monday at St. Brigid-St. Joseph Church. Entombment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery Mausoleum, DeWitt.
