Worked with Larry for many years at New Process Gear in East Syracuse, NY. Larry was a good conversationalist and a dedicated worker who loved his family.
Larry lives on, in another world, a better world, of Eternal Peace. We will join him someday in the future.

I am saddened by the passing of Larry, He was a great person with a lot of knowledge although hardheaded at times. I know he will always lead the 12th in pride, so "carry on Major Allen"

I worked with Larry for several years at NPG. He was a fine gentleman and very knowledgeable on a wide range of topics. I think he could have been a college professor on the subject of the United States Civil War. He will be missed by everyone that knew him. Rest in Peace Larry.

I've known Larry for 30 years through our shared hobby of Civil War reenacting. I last saw him in June 2010 at the funeral of Brian Webster, another long-time friend and CW reenactor. It is so sad to have lost Larry at such a young age. I will always have very fond memories of him and the fun times we had over the years. I am very sorry for his children to have lost their father so unexpectedly. Rest in peace Larry. I know you have alot of friends to greet you on your journey in the afterlife.

This is such shocking news. My condolences to Larry's children and family. I have good memories of doing Civil War reenacting with Larry: attending the big events like at Gettysburg and Antietam, and the local ones in Liverpool and at Peterboro. He cared very much about Civil War history. He will be missed very much.

It's so hard to believe Larry has joined the eternal regiment of soldiers and good men. Although I did not know him well, I always enjoyed our conversations. I'm thankful our paths crossed if only for a brief time. Rest in peace, Larry and know that you will be missed by many including me. My employment will prevent me from saying good bye in person, but my thoughts will be with your family and friends. Condolences to all.
