Obituary of Geraldine R. Sladky

Geraldine Rose Sladky April 11, 2011 Geraldine R. Sladky, 91, of Solvay, passed away Monday at Iroquois Nursing Home. She was pre-deceased by her husbands Marc E. Castellani, Robert F. Lawrence and Frank E. Sladky, as well as her grandson Marc L. Ball. Gerry was a member of St. Cecilia Church in Solvay having served as Past-president of the Altar and Rosary Society, as well as serving in a variety of parish ministries. She spent many years as a homemaker before retiring as an insurance underwriter for AETNA Insurance Co. She was an avid golfer and loved her many friends with whom she golfed and played bridge. Gerry is survived by her daughter, Carol-Anne (Les) Ball; sons, Robert (Betty) Castellani and Donald Castellani; step-son James Sladky, along with her beloved grandchildren, great-grand children, and several nieces and nephews. Her family would like to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to the 4th. floor staff at Iroquois Nursing Home for the love, affection and care which they provided during her stay. Services: 10:00 a.m. Monday at St. Cecilia Church, 1001 Woods Rd. Solvay. Private burial will be at a later date in St. Mary's Cemetery Dewitt. Calling hour will be 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Monday at Tindall Funeral Home, 1921 W.
