Walter P. Ozarek February 15, 2011 Walter P. Ozarek, 90, a resident of James Square, Syracuse, passed away Tuesday at Community General Hospital. Born in Syracuse, he was a US Army veteran of WWII. He was an engineer for Higgins Construction. He was predeceased by his companion, Beatrice Kilpatrick in 2005. Survivors: his step-daughter, Helen Rinaldi of Camillus; sisters, Ann Spencer and Stella Warren both of Camillus, and Veronica VanBuren of Mattydale; nephews, Bill (Mary) Neufang of Baldwinsville, Bob (Joan) Neufang of Syracuse, Richard (Helen) Neufang of KY, Edward (Virginia) Neufang of AZ and John (Sherry) Spencer, Jr. of Binghamtom; and other great nieces and nephews. Services: 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Tindall Funeral Home. Burial with military honors will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners. Calling hour will be 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, prior to the service at the funeral home, 1921 W. Genesee St. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association, 6390 Fly Rd., 2nd Floor, East Syracuse, NY 13057, www.diabetes.org
