A Certified Death Certificate is necessary many tasks to be done. A death certificate can be obtained through a Funeral Director in Onondaga County for the first six (6) months after death. After six months, you are required to obtain them directly from Vital Records in person or online. It is a good idea to obtain multiple copies of a death certificate as most agencies require a certified certificate and not a photocopy.
