Edward W. Kwasigroch, 98, of Fairmount passed away Thursday at St. Camillus. He was born in Syracuse, and was the last surviving child of Albert and Rose Kwasigroch. Edward was a retired letter carrier, who also taught electronics and worked part time as a radio and television repairman. He was a member of St. Cecilia's Church and served as an usher for many years. Edward was predeceased by his parents and seven brothers, Vincent, Philip, Frank, Peter, Leon, Stanley, and John, and two sisters, Agnes Skreckoski, and Veronica Stanko. Survivors: his loving wife, Mary (Baratta) with whom he celebrated 74 years of marriage on September 5, 2016. He is also survived by his daughter and son in law, John and Carol Simiele, and their children, Mary Beth (Kirk) Hammond, Linda Simiele and fiance Dick Smith, Karen (John) Tobin. He also leaves behind to cherish his memory Eric, Emily, and Kevin Hammond, and Ashlyn Feneck. Edward also leaves behind many loving and devoted nieces and nephews. His sweet, calm demeanor, funny stories, and an ever present twinkle in his eye will be cherished by those who loved him. Services: 10:30 am Monday at Tindall Funeral Home and 11 am at St. Cecilia Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial with military honors will follow in Greenawn Cemetery. Calling hours will be 2 to 5 pm Sunday at the funeral home, 1921 W Genesee St., Syracuse.
