Obituary of Villa Warboy

Villa Vlasta Warboy age 92, of Churchton, MD passed away Monday, November 13, 2023, of natural causes. She was born on September 15, 1931, in Endicott, NY. Her parents, Frank and Karoline Holecek, immigrated from Czechoslovakia in December of 1927 with three children. Villa had eleven siblings, four brothers and seven sisters. Villa attended Rochester School for the deaf where she met her husband. She loved painting pictures of the Chesapeake Bay and its wildlife. She loved her Czech heritage especially the special eggs her mother painted and the Czech pottery she collected. She worked at Arbitron as a key punch operator. She volunteered at the White House as a Greeter. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, Richard F. (Dick) Warboy Sr. in 2012; her parents, Frank and Karoline Holecek, and nine siblings: Anthony, Francis, Anna, Joseph, Mary, Robert, Rose, Frank Jr, and Geraldine.

She is survived by her son, Richard F. Jr. (Pauline) of Syracuse, NY; daughter, Deborah A. of Churchton, MD; son, Michael J. (Cindy) of New Market, VA; sisters; Millie Sylvester of Binghamton, NY and Donna Fetcinko of Hannibal, NY; sister in-laws; Dorothy Dean, Joan (Chuck) Greene, Patricia Minor, Susan (Bill) Winchell, and Mary Warboy, all of Syracuse, NY; five grandchildren; Christian (Jenny), Amy (Dustin), Kaitlyn (Jeff), Meghann (Matthew), Michael (Jenna); her great grandchildren, Camden, Seth, Evelyn, and Vivian. 

Services were private.
