
Obituary of Donato A. Romagnoli
Donato "Daniel" A. Romagnoli, 88, of Onondaga Hill passed away Monday following a brief illness. Born to Domenico and Isabella Romagnoli, he was raised as he would say, "a simple boy from Solvay". Starting from humble beginnings in Solvay, he was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War. After working for Crucible Steel, he went on to own an iron working business for many years. Daniel would transition into owning a vending company before retiring. He married his wife Joan, built his home and raised his family on Onondaga Hill. He was an avid woodturner, would travel participating in art shows and giving tutorials at the NYS Fair. Daniel enjoyed travelling with Joan and vacationing on the beaches in Aruba, Florida, and South Carolina.
He was predeceased by his wife of 56 years, Joan (Erwin) Romagnoli and his son, Dominick Romagnoli.
Survivors: his children, Paul (Mary) Romagnoli, Stephen Romagnoli, Dr. Lisa (Gonzalo) Gioni; grandchildren, Ethan, Timothy, and Tucker Romagnoli; Sophia, Isabella, Emilia, and Nola Romagnoli; sisters, Anna DeRoberts and Evelyn Doody; several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be 4 to 7pm Friday, June 26 at Tindall Funeral Home, 1921 W Genesee St. Syracuse, NY.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 12:30pm Saturday, June 27 at the Church of St. Michael and St. Peter, 4782 W Seneca Tpke Syracuse, NY.
Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery Mausoleum, Warners, NY.
