It has been quite a few years but I still remember the years spent at the Micheletti's home throughout my teenage years. It was all of the "Scarbro's" safe place---and Mary was a huge part of that. She was our adopted sister....."family". Years may pass but places and people who left an indelible mark on you are never forgotten or gone. Mary will live on in my mind. Dear Sweetest Mary, You always brightened our days together! Thank You for Your Smile, Your Kind Words, and Your Humor. Thank You for taking the time, everytime we saw you, to ask how Tay was doing or to ask about her interests. Being deaf and having a communication barrier can be a struggle, but you always made her feel welcome! We'll always cherish the moment Tay surprised hugged you and you said, "Just so you know, I don't really like to be touched, but she can hug me" We laughed, then smiled together because I said, I don't like to be touched either...but sometimes certain people just make it so special! Thank You for our many wonderful memories! From your hilarious stories at the Zoo to every other moment we shared. You were truly one in a million and will be greatly missed! Keep on shining!

As a mentor in the community I would see Mary often while I was working with my client. She always had a smile on her face that was contagious. I am so sorry for your loss. Mary was such a good friend to all and she will be missed by so many.

I had the pleasure of meeting Mary back when she babysat for her great nephew Chris, and walked him to Solvay Elementary for UPK. My son was in the same class. She was so kind, sweet, and friendly. I happily picked them up or dropped them off when the weather or time didn't go their way! Well after that year of school, I often ran into Mary while shopping in the Fairmount area. She always stopped to chat, and we marveled at how big the boys had gotten, and how much time had passed. Now those little boys are college age, and time sure did fly by! I will miss running into Mary! I'm so sorry for your family's loss.
