Thank you Dad for teaching us how to live. You lived a well balanced life, and a very full life. There aren’t many things that you didn’t do. Always dutiful. You will be greatly missed, but your legacy will live on. You have been a positive influence on your ever growing family.

Thank you for all the years we spent visiting Syracuse. Though our time together was never enough, we always cherished our summers with you and the many birthdays we celebrated by your side. I’ll always remember the smells of the garden and the bushes — grabbing fresh fruit and vegetables to bring to Granny. The time spent at Camp Nazareth were some of my favorite memories of childhood. We are forever grateful and honored to have had you as our Grandfather. Gone, but never forgotten.

We love you and miss you Grandpa Lyon! I'm so happy to have so many wonderful memories of you. Your garden, your apple pies, your love of Hercule Poirot mysteries and photography, and your kindness and generosity. We had some wonderful adventures in recent years. I'm so glad I got to know you better as I got older. Our trip to Montreal and Vermont is a cherished memory as well as the trip to Maine with mom. I remember you telling me how you loved to go dancing when you were younger, and I found a kindred spirit. And thank you for teaching me how to make your apple pie! I will be sure to pass the recipe on to your great-granddaughters! Your life was well-lived and you will be missed.
