Obituary of Daniel Sullivan

Daniel Sullivan, 80, of Westvale passed away on July 18, 2025 at his home after a period of declining health. Dan graduated from Christian Brothers Academy in 1962, attended LeMoyne College and later graduated from Niagara University. During his working years he was employed in retail sales, marketing research, and the wholesale foods industry. Dan loved to travel, making numerous trips to Europe, often staying with friends who he had met on earlier trips. His passions were Syracuse University sports and the Buffalo Bills whose victories thrilled him and defeats never discouraged him.

Dan was predeceased by his parents, M. Gerald and Margaret (Reynolds) Sullivan, and his sister, Barbara Sullivan.

He is survived by his three cousins, William Sullivan of Springfield NH, David "Pete" Sullivan of Tonawanda, NY and Mary Sullivan, of Richmond VA. Dan also leaves behind numerous close friends, notably Jack Phelan and Evan Spencer who were especially kind to him in his later years.

Services: 10:30am Monday, August 11 at St. Charles Church, 417 S. Orchard Rd. Syracuse, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt.
