Obituary of Winifred A. Pitzeruse

Winifred LaFrance Pitzeruse, 81, of Onondaga Hill passed Sunday at Upstate Community Hospital. Born in Syracuse she was a graduate of Onondaga Valley Academy. Winnie retired after more than 20 years from Syracuse University as a human resources analyst. She was active and a past president of the CNY Aquarium Society. Winnie loved camping, sewing, knitting, and was an avid reader.

She was predeceased by her husband, Richard Pitzeruse Sr. in 1985.

Survivors: her children, Richard (Patricia) Pitzeruse Jr., Mark Pitzeruse, Jennifer (Ronald) Lioto; grandchildren, Mya, Eric, Michael, Joseph, Anna, Anthony, Kira; and 2 great grandchildren.

A calling hour will be 10-11am Saturday June 7, at Tindall Funeral Home 1921 W Genesee St., Syracuse.

A service will begin at 11am. Burial will follow in Onondaga Valley Cemetery.
