Obituary of James S. Lane

James "Jimbo" Lane, 68, of Syracuse, NY passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday April 30, 2025. James graduated from Henninger High School in 1974 and worked as a dedicated Police Officer with the Syracuse Police Department for over 30 years. As a decorated officer, James earned multiple divisional, bureau commendations, and numerous letters of appreciation for going beyond the call of duty throughout his career. James lived life to the fullest and loved cooking for and spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed hockey games, NASCAR races, watching movies and listening to music from Elvis, Springsteen, and Billy Joel. He loved fast cars and motorcycles and was an active member of the ROAD DAWGS motorcycle club.

James was predeceased by his parents, James A. and Marion Lane and brother, Gordon C. Lane.

James is survived by his wife, Adrian Scott; sons, James A., Derek, and Anthony Lane; daughters, Samantha (Christopher Fey) and Alicia Woodcock; seven grandchildren; his sisters, Brenda Tork and Linda Cichello; many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be 4 to 7pm Monday, May 5 at Tindall Funeral Home, 1921 W Genesee St. Syracuse. Burial will be private in Woodlawn Cemetery.
