Obituary of Beverly J. Luckhurst

Beverly J. (Leahy) Luckhurst, 94, of Syracuse passed away on Saturday. Born in Solvay, she was a graduate of Solvay High School. She was a communicant of St. Patrick’s - St Brigid Church. Beverly was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society and Lakeland Seniors. She was predeceased by her husband John “Jack” in 2017, 5 sisters, Geraldine Torrey, Margaret Hermann, Gene Francimone, Shirley Schierer and Joan Morrison and a brother, Edward Leahy.

She is survived by her son, John (Joan) Luckhurst; daughters, Cheryl (Joseph) Guadagnolo, Doree (Douglas) Reno; grandchildren, Derek Guadagnolo, Corrinne Sherman, Aubrie Smith, Anne Smith, William Luckhurst, Alison Brainard, Jacquelynn and Meghan Reno; great grandchildren, Joseph, Phoebe, Sophia, Maia, Calvin, Chloe, Emma, Lucas, Ewan, Stella, Grace, Hazel, Gwen, Jack, Delilah, Simon, Peyton; a brother; William Leahy and many nieces and nephews.

Our family would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the Loretto Cunningham 12th floor memory care unit. Your unwavering care and compassion was appreciated. We are grateful for the love you showed Beverly during the past couple years.

Calling hours will be 10:30 to 11:30am Monday, March 10, at St. Patrick's Church followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to begin at 11:30am. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Lakeland.
