So sorry to hear of your loss. Joe and I were in the same recruit class back in 85. He was one of the nicest people I met on the SFD or any place for that matter, and that laugh! I worked with him infrequently, usually on overtime or detail, but when I did we would sit around talking for hours about a lot of different things, hunting, fishing, Pope's Grove and of course our trainee class. We had a lot of laughs! Always good memories of him!

I’m saddened to see this. I was on the D shift when Joe was on the A. I took over driving for him when he retired. He was a great guy had a few fires with him. He made my transition from coming off the back to the front seat easy. He was that type of guy. Rest easy brother

Joe was the driver of the Rescue on the A shift when he retired. He was a great man, great Firefighter and great Rescue Bulldog. I learned so much working with him. He will be missed.
