Nancy Jane Morrow, 60, Syracuse, NY passed away peacefully November 17, 2017. Nancy was predeceased by her parents, William and Julia Morrow, sister-in-law, Mary Ellen (Noonie) Sheridan Morrow. Nancy attended Frank C. McCarthy School where she made life long friends. After her parents' deaths, Nancy lived in a community residence managed by Spaulding Support Services. The staff and clients became her second family and lovingly cared for her. Nancy enjoyed spending time with her siblings, nieces and nephews. She traveled all over the United States with her family and Tulip Travel. She also travelled to Paris, France with her best friend Lisa Falcone. Nancy savored a good glass of Chardonnay, a heaping plate of spaghetti and meatballs and cheesecake with mint chocolate chip ice cream. Nancy was a Special Olympian. She won both a gold and bronze medal in swimming at the National Special Olympics Competition in Los Angeles, California. She loved to bowl and enjoyed beating her brother-in-law, Dennis, at the game. Nancy is survived by her siblings Mary Ellen Andrews (Lawrence Cummings) of San Diego, California, Kay (Dennis) Quigley of Rochester, NY, Julie (Stephen) Frawley of Liverpool, NY, John Morrow of Syracuse, NY, and her brother-in-law, Russell Andrews (Linda Henley) of Beaufort, S.C. She is survived by her loving nieces and nephews, Rielly (Dax) Vlassis, Phillip Andrews, Her Goddaughter, Kelly (Lance) Milewski, Katie (Joseph) Bennett, Daniel (Colleen) Frawley, Patrick Frawley, Anna (Derek) Greeley, Julia Morrow (Christopher Habermihl) and her beloved great nieces and nephews, Mira, Rory, Patrick, Matthew, Colin, Claire, Ryan, and Jack. Over the past 3 years, Nancy has valiantly fought Alzheimer's Disease. She spent the last part of her life at the Loretto Cunningham Nursing Home on the 8th floor with loving, caring staff and residents who helped Nancy and her family navigate this terrible disease. Nancy enjoyed her family and many friends and will be dearly missed, but never forgotten. For her lifetime we lived with an angel. Services: Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Friday November 24, at Tindall Funeral Home, 1921 W Genesee St, Syracuse, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Saturday November 25, at the Cathedral Of The Immaculate Conception, 259 E. Onondaga St. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Spaulding Support Services, 6520 Basil Rowe, E. Syracuse, NY 13057 or Loretto Foundation, 1305 Nottingham Rd., Jamesville, NY 13078.
