Obituary of Theresa A. DuRocher

Theresa A. DuRocher, 88, passed away peacefully at The Centers of St. Camillus of Syracuse. Theresa was born in Syracuse, NY and resided in Westvale for over 55 years. She attended St. Lucy's Academy and was employed at E. W. Edwards & Sons and Dey Brothers Department stores. The daughter of the late Francis and Catherine (McKeon) Wyatt meant there wasn't a St. Patrick's Day she didn't celebrate! Theresa was a communicant of St. Charles of Borromeo / St. Ann's Church for over fifty years. She enjoyed her gardens, watching classic movies and spending time at the family camp on Chase Lake. She was predeceased by her husband, Ronald A. DuRocher, in 2009 and her daughter, Gail A. Avery, in 2000. Surviving are her three children: Carolyn Crews (Bill) of Elbridge, Mary Haynes (Mike Corbett) of Liverpool and Joanne Cook (Anthony Cefaliello) of Westvale; her nine grandchildren: Lisa Grande, Michelle Crews, Melanie Monet, Danny Corbett, Justin Schlosser, Matt Schlosser, Ashley Rivera, Corey Avery and Kelly Cook; seven great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Millicent D. McKuhen The family warmly wishes to thank the staff, nurses and doctors attending to Theresa on the 3rd floor and "B Unit" at St. Camillus; and the wonderful team of support from Hospice of CNY. Services: 10:00 a.m. Saturday at St. Charles Church, 501 S. Orchard Rd., Syracuse where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. The Rite of Committal and burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt. Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Tindall Funeral Home, 1921 W Genesee St, Syracuse.
