Robert Joseph Trenga Sr., 90, of Fayetteville died at home on Wednesday, March 30, 2016. He was born in Milwaukee, WI, to Jenny (Ciliberti) and Joseph Trenga. He was a graduate of Norwich High School and LeMoyne College as well as a US Army Air Corps veteran. He owned Robert J. Trenga Sr. Accounting where he prepared taxes for over 60 years. He volunteered for many organizations including PEACE Inc for 40 years, the Veterans Administration Hospital and Boy Scouts. He was a member of the National Association of Tax Preparers, Disabled American Veterans and the American Legion. Bob was an extrovert who relished life and loved talking to people. Always a voracious reader, he constantly sought new information, He strongly believed in family and traditional values, and enjoyed sharing those beliefs with others. He was previously married to Marie Jean (Knapp) Trenga. He was predeceased by his beloved sisters Ruth Lindquist and Helen Albino. Survivors: his children Robert Trenga, Jr. of Syracuse, Marie Trenga (Brian Ribeiro) of Midland GA, Theresa (Steve) Brenon of Ballston Lake, Tom Trenga (Sia Trujillo) of Mesa, AZ; grandchildren, Amelia Trenga of Auburn, AL, Caitlin, Paul (Heather), and Adam Ribeiro of Columbus, GA, Allie Rose Brenon of Northhampton, MA, and Jake and Natalie Trenga of Mesa, AZ, daughter-in-law Anne Tindall, along with several nieces and nephews. Services: 11 a.m. Monday, June 27, at St. Ann's Church, Manlius, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. A calling hour will be 10 to 11 a.m. Monday prior to the service at St. Ann's Church, 104 Academy St., Manlius, NY. Contributions may be made to his favorite charities, Smile Train and Christian Foundation for Children and Aging.
