Eileen T. Cotter Tymofy, 93, of Syracuse passed away Saturday. Born in Syracuse, she was the head cashier and bookkeeper at the A & P Tea Co. Eileen was a communicant of St. Brigid and St. Joseph Church and a member of its Young Hearts Club. Her husband John C. predeceased her in 1997. Survivors: her sons, John J. (Melanie) Tymofy Sr. of Syracuse and Robert (W. (Cheryl) Tymofy of Clay; one sister, Mary Graser of Plattsburg; grandchildren, John (Jason) Tymofy Jr. of Seattle, WA, Scott (Renee) Tymofy of Syracuse, Craig (Justine) Tymofy of Jamesville, Doralynn (Jerry) Pickard of Pennellville, and Nadine Tymofy of Syracuse; 5 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild. Services: 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Tindall Funeral Home and 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at St. Brigid-St. Joseph Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. The Rite of Committal and burial will follow in Onondaga County Veterans Cemetery. Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Tindall Funeral Home, 1921 W Genesee St, Syracuse, NY. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the St. Brigid - St. Joseph Food Pantry, 318 Herkimer St., Syracuse, NY 13204.
