John "Jack" M. Freyer passed away on February 5, 2016 in The Villages, Florida. He was born on October 20, 1935 in Syracuse, NY. Jack retired in 2000 as a Partner from the law firm of Bond, Schoeneck and King where he had a life long career in Litigation. Jack received his B.A in 1957 from Hamilton College and his LLB from Harvard Law School in 1960. He was a Fellow of The American College of Trial Lawyers, a Member of the New York State and Florida Bar Associations as well as Onondaga, Albany and Saratoga County Bar Associations along with numerous other local non-profits and charity groups. In 1985 Jack became the Managing Partner of the firms Albany, NY office and at a later date, their Saratoga office. Jack enjoyed golf, Syracuse University sports, telling stories and cherished his summers in The 1000 Islands. He was predeceased in death by his parents Clayton and Helen (Maloney) Freyer and his brother James D. Freyer, Sr. Survivors: his wife of 31 years, Barbara; his sons, John (Sasha), Paul (Renee), Mark (Amy), Michael (Geri Ann); daughters, Marnie (Michael) Day, Sarah (Kevin) Murphy, Lauren and seven granddaughters; several nieces and nephews. Services: 10:00 a.m. Friday July 8, 2016 at Holy Cross Church, 4112 E Genesee St., DeWitt, NY where a Memorial Mass will be celebrated. Burial will be Saturday July 9, in Riverside Cemetery, Wellesley Island. Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday July 7, at Tindall Funeral Home, 1921 W Genesee St, Syracuse, NY. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Parkinson's Disease Foundation, 1359 Broadway, Suite 1509, New York, NY 10018 or The Cornerstone Hospice Foundation, 2445 Lane Park Road, Tavares, FL 32778. He fought a good fight and now is at peace.
