Lillian G. Martone, 74, of Syracuse passed away peacefully Thursday at The Grand in Rome, NY. Born in Syracuse she was a graduate of St. Patrick's High School. She was employed at Onondaga County for many years. She was a Communicant of St. Brigid and St. Joseph Church and a member of the Altar & Rosary Society. Lillian was known for her cooking, baking, and especially her Saturday afternoon dinners. She was a loving, generous person and was loved by all who knew her. She was predeceased by her parents, her brother, Nick Martone and sisters, Frances Sackelli and Rosemary Kane. Survivors: brother, Joseph Martone; sisters, Theresa Cavallaro, Virginia Convertino, Eleanor DeCarlo; many nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed. Services: 9:30am Wednesday at Tindall Funeral Home and 10am at St. Brigid-St. Joseph Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. The Rite of Committal and burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt. Calling hours will be 5 to 7p.m. Tuesday at Tindall Funeral Home, 1921 W Genesee St, Syracuse, NY.
