Obituary of Katherine "Kay" Cieply

Katherine "Kay" Cieply May 24, 2010 Katherine "Kay" Tretiak Cieply, 89, of Syracuse passed away Monday at Loretto. Born in Frankfort, she was a graduate of Frankfort High School. During WWII, Kay worked for the Prosperity Co., GC Hanford Co., and later retired from Westhill High School in 1981 as a baker. After retiring Kay was a homemaker and was also a member of Robinson Memorial Presbyterian Church. She was predeceased by her husband Michael in 2003. Survivors: sons, Michael (Alice) Cieply of Benson, NC, Gerry (Janis) Cieply of DeWitt; 4 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; brother, John Tretiak of Utica. Services: will be private for family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Loretto, 700 E. Brighton Ave., Syracuse, NY 13205.
