Elizabeth "Betty" Kaminski, 91, of Syracuse passed away Tuesday, at Upstate University Hospital At Community. Born in Marcellus, she lived most of her life in the Syracuse area. Betty worked many years for the Carrier Corp. and would later work for and retire from the Syracuse City School District. She worked after her retirement for Kuhn's Catering for many years. Betty was a member of the St. Brigid's Altar & Rosary Society and Westside Seniors. She enjoyed bowling and card playing. Betty was predeceased by her husband, Nicholas in 2005, her brother, Robert Shay Jr., and her sister, Marie Turnmyre McNamara. Survivors: daughter, Susan (Richard) Bucci of Solvay; son, David (Mary Pat) Kaminski of Camillus; grandchildren, Nicholas and Camille Bucci, Joe, Mark, and Steve Kaminski; several nieces and nephews. Services: 9 am Friday at Tindall Funeral Home and 9:30 am Friday at St. Brigid-St. Joseph Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. The Rite of Committal will follow in St. Mary's Mausoleum, DeWitt. Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, 1921 W Genesee St, Syracuse. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Brigid & St. Joseph Food Pantry, 318 Herkimer St., Syracuse, NY 13204
