Obituary of Francis J. McGurk

Francis J. "Ticker" McGurk, 87, of Westvale, died peacefully in his sleep on Thursday. He was born in Pottsville, PA. He retired from Carrier Air Conditioning Company after 38 years of service, was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Church and the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed bowling and was a member of various leagues. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 51 years, Evelyn; and sisters, Rhoda, Betty, Margaret and Teresa. Survivors: Three daughters, Sharon M. (Joseph) D'Aries of Charlotte, NC; Kathleen A. (Edward) Knight of Syracuse and Nancy A. (Steven) Antonetti of Lexington, SC; three sons, John J. (Patricia) of Warners, Francis E. and Raymond J. of Syracuse; and one sister, Anna Yusella of Pottsville, PA.; 11 Grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren. Services: 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at St. Charles Church, 501 S. Orchard Rd., Syracuse where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. The Rite of Committal will follow in St. Mary's Mausoleum, DeWitt. Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Tindall Funeral Home, 1921 W Genesee St, Syracuse. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Charles Food Pantry or American Heart Association.
