Nicola Fangio, 83, of Camillus passed away Thursday. He was born in Castiglione, Italy on March 31, 1928. He came to America in 1951 and was employed by Allied Chemical for 35 years. Nick was a communicant of Holy Family Church. He enjoyed spending time with his family both here and in Italy. Nick brought to this country his love of winemaking. He was predeceased by his wife of 59 years, the former Lillian Balestra in 2010.

Survivors: daughter, Cynthia (Joseph) Goss of Westvale; son, Dr. Robert (Mary Lannon) Fangio of Westvale; grandchildren, Dr. Andrew Goss, Larissa Goss, Maria (Juan) Sandoval, Monica Fangio; great grandchildren, Eva and Juan; brothers, Mario, Alfredo, and Angelo; sister, Eleanora all of Italy; several nieces and nephews.

Services: 9:30 a.m. Monday at Tindall Funeral Home and 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Church. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Mausoleum, DeWitt. Calling hours will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, 1921 W Genesee St.
