The world has lost a wonderful man. I feel blessed Doug Parsons was part of my life. He was someone to look up to with all of his wisdom and grace. He knew how to enjoy life and treat those he loved in his life. I treasure the time we spent together and the wonderful talks we had. He will watch over us I know. He is in a beautiful place... Doug's cousin Brenda Whitehead

Doug was my dearest friend growing up in Camillus: devoted, funny, up for adventure. My greatest joy was his witness for Christ in my life...dearly missed, but mixed with joy as he is in the Lord's presence with exceeding joy.
Peter & Bonnie Clark, January 13, 2012 11:59 AM EST
It was Jan 3, 1998 when Bonnie & I met DOUG. We were visiting the POTTERS where we met almost 30 relatives on the family tree and DOUG was one of them. He made a lasting impression along with his parents Helen and Gerald. Goug came to NL October 3, 2002. I remember we hiked Signal Hill and later played horseshoes with my brothers John and Paul in our backgarden. DOUG you will always be fondly remembered. Our sincere sympathy to all he knew and loved so well.HDCK

Doug was one of my best friends. He was a true friend with a great love of the Lord. I'm so glad I connected with him again this fall while I was visiting family and friends in N Y. Doug was an awesome man and friend. He will be greatly missed.

I was Dougs 6th grade teacher in Minoa. Although it was many years ago I remember him vividly. He was a special kid and reading from the comments of others he coninued that way through his life. I was stationed in Newfoundland when I was in the Air Force. I use to call Doug " newfie" I think he got a kick out of that.
